This is how I am feeling this morning. Our government is being dismantled right before our eyes, and the public is not even paying attention. By the time they wake up, I’m afraid that it will be too late. We need to try something to get their attention besides court cases. We need discussions and comments based on emotion, empathy, and REALITY. Bob Dylan said it best back in the 1960’s , so I think it is time to once again use music to open everyone’s eyes. Maybe we can have a “we are the world” sort of project by today’s artists to write an anthem for what is going on today. We need a new battle cry.
Meanwhile…some Bob Dylan (BTW the movie “A complete Unknown” is excellent! I highly recommend!)
Lets see if we can get this to go viral. Not necessarily by linking to this post; the purpose is to not get page hits.
Show that you are unhappy with the drastic changes in our government over the past 3 weeks! Let’s get the message to go viral! Copy paste the lyrics, but always give credit to the great Bob Dylan. (source for lyrics)

The Times They Are A-Changin’
Come gather ’round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You’ll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you is worth savin’
Then you better start swimmin’ or you’ll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin
’Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won’t come again
And don’t speak too soon
For the wheel’s still in spin
And there’s no tellin’ who that it’s namin’
For the loser now will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin
’Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don’t stand in the doorway
Don’t block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There’s a battle outside and it is ragin’
It’ll soon shake your windows and rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin
’Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don’t criticize
What you can’t understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is rapidly agin’
Please get out of the new one if you can’t lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin’
The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is rapidly fadin’
And the first one now will later be last
For the times they are a-changin’

Blowin’ in the Wind
Written by: Bob Dylan
How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
Yes, ’n’ how many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, ’n’ how many times must the cannonballs fly
Before they’re forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind
How many years can a mountain exist
Before it’s washed to the sea?
Yes, ’n’ how many years can some people exist
Before they’re allowed to be free?
Yes, ’n’ how many times can a man turn his head
Pretending he just doesn’t see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind
How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, ’n’ how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, ’n’ how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind
